As a result of some searching on the 'Net I note that Agnus Herft Vyner was born in (Ceylon)Sri Lanka - I too have Herft ancestors and am wondering where Agnus Herft's ancestors originated from.
My ancestry says that my ancestor (Jacob Fredrik Herft) came from Hungary but I can't find info to support it - a lot of people say that the Herft names originates from Holland. Any information that would assist in pinpointing the origins of Agnus' ancestor might assist me in my search.
